Growing up on the Monterey Peninsula, I began drawing often as a child. I took up oil painting around the age of 11 and pursued it on and off for a few years. When I was 15 I discovered Youth Arts Collective, a nonprofit after school art studio and mentorship program, for high school and college artists. I pursued my own painting projects independently in this environment going after school everyday, and participating in shows through the program, even garnering a couple sales and commissions. I applied to Laguna College of Art and Design for college and was accepted as a Fine Arts major. It was at LCAD that I also took up figure sculpting. I graduated in 2012 with a BFA and Minor in Figurative Sculpture. I moved back to the Monterey Peninsula after graduating, where I currently reside and participate in shows and groups actively.
